Job Description
This position has the responsibility for identification of material requirements and preparation of detail material take-offs from drawings where standards, methods, practices, and instructions are not clearly defined or are in the developmental stage. This role supervises a small contract or several small units within a contract or may be required to direct certain activities in a lead role.

Job Description
This position has the responsibility for identification of material requirements and preparation of detail material take-offs from drawings where standards, methods, practices, and instructions are not clearly defined or are in the developmental stage. This role supervises a small contract or several small units within a contract or may be required to direct certain activities in a lead role.
- Provide procurement support and expediting in conformance with project requirements Monitor and learn the intricacies of material contingencies, logistics analysis, and material management functions
- Interface with internal/external clients and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of material controls activities; when requested, provide written/verbal communications with internal and external clients
- Develop logistics and related procedures with Procurement, Construction, Project Controls, and Project to ensure the timely delivery of materials to the job site
- Assist field forces during construction, if required monitor material receivables at the job site and at the fabrication shop
- Interpret piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), other discipline drawings, and manufacturers catalog data
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Accredited degree or global equivalent in technology
- Possess in-depth knowledge of materials as well as their importance to the overall Material Controls effort.
- Understand material contingencies, logistics analysis, and material management functions
